Creating a Device group

You can filter devices with pending patch or macOS updates and create a Device group through Advanced Search.

1. Go to Devices > Advanced Search.
2. In the Search for field, select Active Devices.
3. In the With Device Type(s) field, select Desktops and Laptops.
4. In the Last Reported field, select Last 7 days.
5. In the Search Criteria field, select All Conditions (AND) and then select the following values.
   • For Condition 1:

     Missing OS Patches	Patch Name	Contains	<10.15.7>

   Note: If you are unsure of the update version, use the keyword security or update.
6. Click Search. The Search Results page is displayed.
7. Click Create New Device Group. The Device Group Details window is displayed.
8. Provide details about the new device group, including the name, description, and whether the group is public or private, and then click Save.
