Configuring User authentication for Microsoft Entra integration with MaaS360

Use this integration to authenticate corporate users with Microsoft credentials during the enrollment process in the MaaS360® Portal.

About this task

You can configure user authentication by authenticating MaaS360 users and groups with Microsoft credentials.

Note: You must have at least one user in your Microsoft Entra ID organization assigned to the Global Administrator role. For more information about this role, see Microsoft Documentation.

Procedure

  1. From the IBM® MaaS360 Portal Home page, select Setup > Microsoft Entra integration.
    By default, the Directory Sync service is selected.
  2. Select User Authentication. The User Authentication page is displayed.
  3. Click Configure. The Security Check window is displayed.
  4. Enter the password and click Confirm. You are redirected to the Microsoft account login page.
  5. Log in to your Microsoft account and grant permission for MaaS360 to access your Microsoft Entra ID instance.
    • If authentication is successful,
      • The following message is displayed, and you are redirected to the MaaS360 Portal.

        Registration is successful. The window will automatically close in 5 seconds

      • Go to the User Authentication page. The configuration status is displayed as Configured.
    • If authentication fails, the following message is displayed and you must review the settings that you configured in the previous steps.

      Registration has failed. Window will automatically close in 5 seconds
