Configuring filtering options in Cloud Extender Tool

The Cloud Extender® Configuration Tool provides an option that filters mailbox servers and devices if the organization is using a single or multiple Cloud Extenders or is using multiple Exchange ActiveSync servers.

The new configuration settings apply to the following scenario:
  • When the filtering options are applied to the mailbox servers.

The filtering options apply to both multiple and stand-alone Cloud Extender configurations. You can filter users by domain, Organizational Units(OU), or mailbox server regardless of whether you are using a single or multiple Cloud Extender setups.

Configure the filtering options in Cloud Extender tool

Follow these steps to filter users or devices by domain, OU, or mailbox servers:
  1. Open the Cloud Extender Configuration Tool and select Exchange.
  2. Enter the Email Server hostname based on the user requirement.
  3. Select Specific mailbox servers, organization units or departments and click Next.
  4. Enter the details for the Email Server Configuration. Configure the settings based on the server type and click Next.
  5. Configure the filtering users or devices option according to the domain, OU, or mailbox servers page.
    • Select the All mailboxes from a specific domain option and all the domain that is configured for the mailbox are displayed.
    • Select All mailboxes from selected mailbox servers option and all the mailboxes that are configured are displayed. The user can select the mailbox servers as requirement.
    • Select All mailboxes from selected Organizational Units (OU's) and all the mailboxes that are configured for the OU are displayed.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Test to run the test configuration.
  8. Click Save to complete the setup and return to the Cloud Extender Summary page.
