Clearing Cloud Extender health check alerts manually

Information about manually clearing invalid Cloud Extender® health check alerts from the Cloud Extender Device view in the IBM® MaaS360® Portal.

About this task

With the Cloud Extender 2.91 release, you can view all health check alerts in the Alert History view and trigger the Clear Health Check Alerts action if you want to manually clear an alert that is no longer valid.

The Clear option appears in the Alert History view only for alerts that display a Needs Attention status. To filter alerts that need to be cleared from the Alert History view, select Needs Attention from the list to view the alerts that need to be cleared.

You can also filter alerts that need to be cleared from the Cloud Extender Summary view, by selecting Clear Health Check Alerts from the Actions tab.

Procedure

  1. Click the Clear option next to the alert that needs attention.
    The Clear Alert message is displayed.
  2. Provide a reason for clearing the alert, and then click Proceed.
    When the Clear Health Check Alert action is triggered, an alert notification is displayed in the Module Summary view, and the following information about the alert is displayed in the Alert History view.
    • Status of the alert (Cleared)
    • Who cleared the alert
    • What time the alert was cleared
    • Comments about the alert
    Note: If the alert is still valid after the alert is cleared, the alert is retriggered in the IBM MaaS360 Portal.
