Enrolling your Android device (without MDM)

Follow these steps to enroll your Android device to access the IBM® MaaS360® Productivity Suite and manage that device without Mobile Device Management (MDM).

Before you begin

You must have one of the following items before you can enroll your Android device:

IBM MaaS360 email enrollment request
IBM MaaS360 text message
A specific enrollment URL sent by your organization

Procedure

Choose one of the following actions to begin the enrollment process:
- Open a browser on your device and tap the MaaS360 enrollment request URL from your enrollment request notification email or text message.
- If a QR code is provided in the enrollment request notification, scan the QR code.
The MaaS360 app installation screen is displayed.
Paste the activation URL in the browser and then tap Start.
The MaaS360 app is displayed in the Google Play Store.
Type your credentials to access the Google Play Store, and then tap Install.
The Google Play Store lists the settings on your device that MaaS360 needs to access.
Tap Accept.
The app installation process downloads the MaaS360 MDM for Android app to your device.
Tap Open.
The Enter Your Corporate Identifier screen is displayed.
Type your email address from your device activation request, and then tap Continue.
The Enter Credentials screen is displayed.
Type your MaaS360 passcode from your device activation request, and then tap Continue.
The Accept Terms screen is displayed.
Accept the terms and conditions and tap OK.
The Create a PIN screen is displayed.
Type and confirm your PIN. You must use this PIN to access the secure container on your device that contains your corporate email, calendar, and contacts.
The MaaS360 app container is installed.
