Creating a configuration profile for bulk enrollment

About this task

You can create a standard enrollment template called Android Bulk Enrollment Configuration profile. This profile contains pre-defined inputs for quick and easy enrollments.

Procedure

  1. From the MaaS360® Portal Home page, go to Setup > Settings > Directory and Enrollment > Enrollment Programs.
  2. In the Android section, click Configure against Android Configurator.
    The Android Configurator-Bulk Deploy Android Devices window is displayed.
  3. Click Continue.
    The Specify the Configuration Settings window is displayed.
  4. Complete the following fields:
    Option Description
    Corporate ID Indicates the Corporate Identifier that is defined in the Directory and Enrollment settings.
    Prompt for Device Name Allows users to provide the name of the device during enrollment. If this option is not selected, the device ID and model number are used for the device name by default.
    Sign-in with default user Provide the default user credentials to automate the sign-in process.
    Configure Wi-Fi Network Provide the corporate wifi network that you want the devices to connect to during enrollment.
    Disable Passcode Management Disables the use of the Passcode settings in the MaaS360 app.
    Enrollment shared secret Indicates the shared secret that is embedded in the configuration profile to authenticate the bulk enrollment request.
    Activation shared secret Indicates the shared secret that is embedded in the configuration profile to authenticate the bulk activation request.
  5. Select the configuration profiles that you want to push to devices, and then click Save and Continue.
    The Download Apps & Configuration File window is displayed.
  6. Download the MaaS360 App for Android.
  7. Perform one of the following actions to download the pre-defined enrollment configuration to the device:
    • Download the Enrollment Configuration File. You can copy the file to the SD card of the device (Root folder or Downloads). If Sign-in with default user parameter was enabled, the Default Sign-in Credentials window is displayed. You can provide a default user name and password to allow users to automatically sign in to the corporate devices.
    • Download the QR Code for Enrollment to push the pre-defined configuration parameters by just scanning the QR code.
  8. Download an OEM helper app, in combination with the MaaS360 App for Android and configuration file, to enroll a corresponding OEM device. For example, download the MaaS360 app for Zebra helper app to enroll Zebra devices.
