Using compliance rules precedence on devices

Configure compliance rule precedence to control which security rules IBM® MaaS360® applies when devices are assigned multiple compliance rules through different device group memberships.

About this task

If a device is assigned multiple compliance rules from multiple group memberships, the device receives the compliance rules with the highest precedence. Follow these steps to prioritize the compliance rules that IBM MaaS360 applies to your devices.

Procedure

  1. From the IBM MaaS360 Portal home page, select Security > Compliance Rules.
  2. On the Compliance Rules window, click Precedence.
  3. On the Precedence window, review the list of MDM policies that are available for iOS and Android, and then drag the compliance rule set to change the precedence.
  4. Click Save.
