Tracking the current status of the Work Profile migration
After MaaS360 sends the migration request, MaaS360 allows you to track the current status of the migration in the device history.
About this task
Follow these steps to track the status of the migration at the device level:
Procedure
- From the MaaS360 Portal Home page, select Devices > Inventory.
- Select the device that you want to track the status of.
- In the Device summary, click Summary > History.

Sort the Action column to view the Migrate to Work
Profile action. The status, comments, and an error description against the
Migration to Work Profile action are displayed in the corresponding
columns.
Status Description Pending The migration command was issued to the device, but the user did not initiate migration. In Progress The user initiated migration on the device. MaaS360 shows the following granular states and pending actions for this status: - Creating Work Profile
- Google Device Attestation Failed
- Pending Google Account Creation
- Refreshing device registration on server
- Correction required: Charge device battery to minimum 30%
- Correction required: Connect the device to internet
- Correction required: Sync device to network provided date/time
- Correction required: Encrypt device
- Correction required: Exit kiosk mode
- Correction required: Remediate device selective wipe status
- Correction required: Remediate device out-of-compliance status
- Correction required: Sign-in as a user
- Correction required: Update Play Services or Play Store
- Setting device PIN for work profile
Error The migration failed on the device. MaaS360 shows the corresponding failure reasons for this status: - Move to Android Enterprise action already exists
- OS version of the device is below the min required for Work Profile
- Device does not support multiple users
- Device Admin was not activated on the device
- Migration action is not possible for an activated device
- Migration failed due to an internal error
- Migration failed as profile creation failed
- Migration failed as adding Google account failed
- Ensure working environment failed
- Registering the device as Work Profile failed
- Migration failed as SKL Activation failed
Complete The device successfully migrated to the Work Profile. MaaS360 displays the following status when the migration is complete: Migration completed successfully Note: If you select the Devices > Actions & Events menu options, MaaS360 provides the global action history records for this action across devices. You can export from these options to filter all Migrate to Work Profile actions for tracking granular status on devices.
