MDM restrictions supported for tvOS devices

You can set restrictions for tvOS devices that are enrolled in a mobile device management (MDM) solution.

The MDM restrictions that are supported for the tvOS devices are as follows:

Playback of explicit music, video, and podcast content

Explicit music or video content that is purchased from the iTunes Store or downloaded from the Podcasts app is hidden. Explicit content is flagged by content providers, such as record labels, when sold through the iTunes Store.

Explicit content in Apple Books

Explicit content that is purchased from Apple Books is hidden. Explicit content is flagged by content providers when sold through the Books app.

Ratings region

Ratings are set by selecting one of nine different regions. This setting cannot be disabled. The default is United States.

Define content ratings

Restrict app usage

Users cannot use AirPlay to stream content to the Apple TV.
