Privacy restrictions

The Privacy restrictions settings configure privacy settings for app permissions on a Windows device.

The following table describes the privacy restrictions that are available for app permissions on a Windows device:

Allow input personalization Specify whether to allow Get to know me.

Allow use of advertising ID Specify whether to allow the use of an advertising ID. Choose to enable, disable, or allow the user to control the use of the advertising ID.

Privacy restrictions for native app permissions
App permission Choose the permissions that are provided for apps. Note: Windows Team supports only Run in Background and Diagnostics privacy restrictions. Windows Holographic does not support the App permissions policy.
