Browser Restrictions

The Browser Restrictions settings prevent unauthorized access to the network.

Note: The Browser Restrictions policy is supported only on SAFE 2.0+ devices that use a native Samsung browser.

The following table describes the settings that you can configure for browsers on an Android device:
Policy setting Description Supported devices
Allow pop-ups The web browser can display pop-up windows. SAFE 2.0+
Allow JavaScript The web browser can use JavaScript. SAFE 2.0+
Accept cookies The web browser can use cookies. SAFE 2.0+
Remember form data for later use The web browser saves data for later use. SAFE 2.0+
Show fraud warning settings The web browser displays a warning message when the user accesses a fraudulent website. SAFE 2.0+
Configure HTTP proxy This setting supports HTTP proxy configuration to route all http or https traffic to a specific IP address:port combination.

Options are:

  • IP address of the proxy server: The IP address of the proxy server.
  • Port of the proxy server: The port number of the proxy server. The default value is 80.

This setting supports only the native browser and the Chrome browser on SAFE 4.0.1 devices.
