Application Compliance settings

The Application Compliance settings provide configuration options for restricted apps, allowed apps, required apps, and restricted app permissions on Windows devices.

Configure the Application Compliance setting that includes configuring default application compliance policy settings.

App restriction type Select the type of apps (allowlist or blocklist) that you want to restrict.

Allowlisted app guids Enter the GUID for the allowed app. All other apps are blocked from being used. The GUID is available from the Windows App Store URL for the app.

Blocklisted app guids Enter the GUID for the blocked app. These apps are blocked from being used.

Publisher name Apps are only allowed from this publisher. All other apps are blocked. You can also specify that certain apps from this publisher are blocked by using the exception app names.

Exception app names Enter the apps that are considered an exception from the publisher. Enter the GUID for the blocked app. Use a comma (,) to separate multiple app GUID values.
