Access point name (APN) settings

The APN settings configure the APN profile and APN settings on a Windows device.

APN settings
Allows user to change APN settings Choose whether to allow the user to change the APN settings.
Note: This setting only applies if at least one APN profile is configured for the device.
Windows Phone 10+
APN profiles
Display name Specify the name to identify the APN profile. Windows Phone 10+
Connection name Specify the APN connection name that is displayed in the Connection Manager. Windows Phone 10+
Connection type Choose the APN connection type such as IPv4, IPv6, IPv4v6, or IPv4v6xlat. The default value is IPv4v6. Windows Phone 10+
Attach this APN as a aprt of LTE Choose whether this APN must replace the APN from the mobile operator. Windows Phone 10+
Authentication type Choose from the following authentication types for the APN profile: auto, password authentication protocol (PAP), challenge handshake authentication protocol (CHAP), Microsoft version of the challenge handshake authentication protocol version 2 (MSCHAPv2), or none. The default authentication type is none. Windows Phone 10+
Username Use %username% or leave the field blank to use the enrollment information to populate the user's username. Windows Phone 10+
Password Set up the password for the APN profile. Windows Phone 10+
Auto-connect when connection profile is in range Choose whether to allow the device to automatically connect to the APN profile when the profile is in range of the device. Windows Phone 10+
