Installing the routing and remote access role on Windows Server 2016+

Install the routing and remote access role on Windows Server 2016+.

1. Open the Windows Server 2016+ Server Manager.
2. From the Server Manager Dashboard, select Manage > Add Roles and Features.
3. Click Next to display the Select Server Roles window.
4. Select the Remote Access checkbox.
   You can install more roles that are required for Remote Access.
5. Click Next until the Select Role Services page is displayed.
6. Select Routing. You are prompted to install more required components.
7. Review the list of requirements, and click OK.
