ActiveSync
The ActiveSync settings allow Android devices that are managed by MaaS360® to synchronize data with a configured mailbox account.

The following table describes the ActiveSync settings that you can configure on a device:

Username | Enter %email% to use the username account or email address, or leave the field blank to use the username in the system. | Android 5.0+ PO and DO |

Accept all server certificates | The certificates that are required to connect to the server. | Android 5.0+ PO and DO |
Authentication type | The password that is entered manually by the user or the certificate that is uploaded from MaaS360. | Android 5.0+ PO and DO |
Authentication Mode | The authentication mode for Exchange ActiveSync account. Microsoft announced deprecation of
basic authentication for multiple protocols including Exchange ActiveSync. It is recommended to
switch to OAuth 2.0 token-based Modern Authentication to continue with these services. Note: Google
does not support modern authentication, it is recommended to configure Google account with G-Suite
binding for mail, calendar and contacts access natively.
