Setting app configuration precedence

Precedence allows administrators to control which configuration is used by the device when multiple app configurations are distributed to the device through different device groups.

A device can be elibible for multiple configurations of the same app, but only one configuration is applied to the device. When multiple configurations are distributed to the device through different groups, the configuration with the higher precedence is applied to the device. For example, precedence 1 is considered higher than precendence 2, and precedence 4 is considered higher than precedence 8. By default, when the first configuration is created for an app, the precedence is set to 1 and the count is incremented by 1 whenever subsequent configurations are added. For example, the precedence of the first configuration is 1, and the subsequent configurations will have precedence 2, 3, 4 and so on. You can always change the order of precedence based on your requirements.

Example scenario: An administrator creates two configurations C1 and C2 for the XYZ app and assigns precedence 1 for C1 and precedence 2 for C2. The configuration C1 is distributed to the device group G1 and the configuration C2 is distributed to the device group G2. The device D2 is part of both the device groups G1 and G2. When the XYZ app is distributed, the configuration with the highest precedence C1 is applied to the device D2 even though the device is eligible for both the configurations C1 and C2.
