Applying the Corporate Usage Policy to DEP devices

DEP customization supports the Unified Enrollment Flow with the Corporate Usage Policy setting. This setting is added to the DEP Add Profile page. This policy is supported on iOS 13 and macOS 10.15 devices.

About this task

To apply the Corporate Usage Policy to DEP devices, and to display this policy as a customized Acceptance Usage Policy during DEP enrollment, follow these steps:

Procedure

  1. From the MaaS360® Portal Home page, go to Setup > Settings > Directory and Enrollment > Advanced Enrollment Settings.
  2. From the Unified Enrollment Flow section, add the Corporate Usage Policy. You can upload the Corporate Usage Policy as a TXT or an HTML file, and then enable this policy setting.
  3. From the DEP Profile section, enable Authenticate User and Corporate Usage Policy.
  4. Assign the profile to the DEP device.

Results

This policy is displayed to the user during DEP enrollment as a customized Acceptance Usage Policy. The user is prompted to accept the policy to complete the DEP device enrollment based on the two-factor authentication method (Enrolling DEP devices using two-factor authentication) or the SAML-based authentication method (Enrolling DEP devices using SAML-based authentication).
