Create a mail sender configuration by using an email address and verify it. After verification, set the mail sender configuration to active for secure mail communication from MaaS360.

What to do next
After you create a mail sender configuration with an email address, a verification email is sent to the inbox of that email address.
To verify the ownership of the email address, you must complete the verification process.
- Check the inbox of the email address that is used to create the mail sender configuration and look for an email for email address verification request.
- Open the email and click the link to complete the verification process for the email
address.Note: The verification link is valid only for 24 hours.
After you complete verification, the status of the mail sender address is updated to Verified on the Advanced branding page. You can set this configuration to active to use this email address for secure mail communication from MaaS360. For more information on setting a configuration to active, see Setting a mail sender configuration to active.
To comply with Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC), you must configure a custom Mail From domain.
- On the Advanced Branding page, click the ellipsis button for a mail sender
address of type Email and then click Edit.
A summary report of the email configuration is displayed in a slide-over window.
- In the summary report, select the Use custom MAIL FROM domain checkbox.
- For MAIL FROM domain, enter the subdomain that you want to use as the
custom MAIL FROM domain.Note: The MAIL FROM domain must be a subdomain of the parent domain of the verified email address. The MAIL FROM domain must not be a subdomain that you also use to send email from or receive email.
- Click Save.
The custom MAIL FROM domain is configured.
- Download and publish the DNS records to the DNS provider of the domain to show the updates. For
more information on downloading DNS records, see Downloading DNS records.Note: The DNS provider might take up to 72 hours to detect the DNS records.
