Revoking quarantine action
Revoke the quarantine action for users and devices when the user or device no longer poses a threat to your organization. When the quarantine access is revoked, affected users and devices regain their regular access privileges to corporate data.
Revoke quarantine action for users
Revoke the quarantine action for users from the Security Dashboard or User Directory pages. When you revoke the quarantine action for a user, the quarantine restrictions are removed for all devices that are managed by the user.
Revoking quarantine action from Security Dashboard
- From the IBM MaaS360 Portal home page, go to .
- Apply the revoke quarantine action from the following workflows.
- Top Users with Risk Incidents widget: In the Top Users with
Risk Incidents widget, select the Top risky users tab. The list
of the top 5 risky users is displayed. Select the
icon against the quarantined user and select Revoke quarantine.
- User List page: In the Top Risky Users widget,
click View more to view the complete list of risky users. Click the
icon against the quarantined user and select Revoke quarantine.
- Summary View page: Click the username in the User List page. The Summary View page of the user is displayed. Click Revoke quarantine.
- Top Users with Risk Incidents widget: In the Top Users with
Risk Incidents widget, select the Top risky users tab. The list
of the top 5 risky users is displayed. Select the
- Turn on the Notify user via email toggle icon to
notify users about the restrictions that are applied to the device that are removed.Note: The email notification is sent to the email address that was provided during the enrollment. To update or sync email addresses in the User Directory, go to page.
- Click Revoke quarantine.
A confirmation message is displayed that the quarantine status is updated for all devices that
are managed by the user. You can click the Refresh
icon to reflect the quarantine status for the user.
Revoking quarantine action from User Directory
Follow the steps to revoke the quarantine action from the User Directory page.
- From the IBM MaaS360 Portal home page, go to . The User Directory page is displayed.
- Click the View link under the username. The user
details page is displayed.Tip: Check the quarantine status of the user under the Quarantine Status column.

Revoke quarantine action for devices
Revoke the quarantine action for devices from the Security Dashboard or Devices Inventory page. When you select devices for the revoke quarantine actions, the restrictions are removed only from the selected devices.
Revoking quarantine action for devices from the Security Dashboard
Follow these steps to revoke the quarantine action on the device from the Security Dashboard.
- From the IBM MaaS360 Portal home page, go to .
- Go to the Top Users with Risk Incidents widget, select the Top risky users tab, and click the View more link. The User List page is displayed.
- Select the username. In the Summary View page of the user, the list of devices that are managed by that user is displayed in the Risky devices section.
- Select the devices.
- For individual devices, select the
icon next to the device name and select Revoke Quarantine.
- For multiple devices, select the check-boxes next to the device names and select Revoke Quarantine.
- For all devices, select the checkbox next to the Device name and select Revoke Quarantine.

- In the Device Inventory page, click the View link
under the device name. The device details page is displayed.Tip: Check the quarantine status of the device under the Quarantine Status column.
