Using MaaS360 MTD app

When an admin distributes the Endpoint Security (EPS) Policy to a device group, the MaaS360® MTD app is automatically configured on all the devices in that group.

About this task

The home screen of the MaaS360 MTD app on an Android or iOS device displays the following widgets.
  • Apps
  • Web
  • Device
  • Network
  • Threat Zones
  • Forensic Analysis (iOS)
  • Tag Tracker (Android)
  • Files
  • Tutorials

The user can tap each widget to view the status on the device and the relevant threat information.

The following are steps to fix or review the threats that are tagged in the widgets.

Procedure

  1. Tap the MaaS360 MTD app on the device home screen to open.
  2. Tap the menu icon to open the menu list.
  3. Tap any active issue on the widget to either Fix or Review the issue.
    • Full Event Log
      Review all the threats.
    • Settings
      View the Activity stats, display, permissions, and notifications.
    • Troubleshoot
      Troubleshoot and send the logs for debugging.
    • About
      View the Privacy policy, license agreement, and other information.
  4. Tap each widget to open and view the action items.
    • Tap Apps to view the list of installed apps and their threat status. The statuses include No Risk Detected, Risk Detected, and High Risk Detected.
      1. Tap the app to view Details and Resolution.
      2. Tap Download to install the fix.
    • Tap Web to view the phishing status and other threats in your browser.
      1. Tap Report to Site Scan Report to view information such as Sites Blocked, Safe Sites, and Sites Scanned.
      2. Tap to enable MaaS360 MTD VPN under SECURE BROWSING.
        Important: Make sure that the MaaS360 MTD VPN is selected. If cleared, then the phishing detection stops and the device becomes vulnerable to risks.
      3. Under PHISHING LINK CHECK, copy and paste the hyperlink to check for phishing and malware threats.
      4. Tap TUTORIALS to learn the steps to enable phishing check and setup the SMS filtering.
    • Tap Device to view the threat status of that device and other device information.
      1. To fix a reported risk, tap Fix.
      2. Tap Open Settings and follow the resolution steps.
    • Tap Network to view the threat status and active issues of the wifi to which the device is connected.
      1. To fix a reported risk, tap Fix.

    • Tap Tutorials to view the list of tutorials that help users to keep their device secure against mobile threats and risky sites. The available tutorials are as follows. Tap each tutorial to learn the steps to resolve them.
      • Add Phishing Check to Your Share Shortcut
      • Enable Safari Protect Extension
      • Enable SMS Filtering
      • Verify malicious files by sharing them with MaaS360 MTD
    • Tap Tag Tracker to scan and detect the tag trackers within a time range.
    • Tap Threat Zones to view the threat zones marked on Google Maps.
