Tracking managed app configuration feedback in the IBM MaaS360 Portal

Track the status of your managed app configurations in the IBM® MaaS360® Portal.

From Android version 9.15 and later, the android agent collects the feedback for GMS devices. The customers who want the enabled app feedback must use this version or later. They can enable the app feedback in the Portal to use the feedback from the device.

When new configuration changes are applied to an app, IBM MaaS360 retrieves configuration feedback and displays the status across all devices and applications. The feedback allows administrators to detect errors and troubleshoot any issues.
Note: This feature is not available by default. Contact IBM Support to enable this feature for your account.

Enabling feedback tracking in the app configuration status

Follow the steps to enable app feedback tracking in IBM MaaS360 Portal.
  1. From the IBM MaaS360 Portal home page, go to Setup > Settings.
  2. Go to App Settings > Basic.
  3. Go to App Configuration Settings and select the checkbox Enable feedback for app configuration.
Important: From Android version 9.15 and later, the Force App Config Feedback and device-level Enable feedback or Disable feedback actions are deprecated as IBM MaaS360 introduces the continuous feedback status from Device to Portal by turning on the Feedback setting.

Viewing app configuration status

View the feedback that is reported for the app in the Device Summary, the App Catalog list view, the App Summary, and the App Distribution and Installation Details pages.
