Managing the scheduled action

You can manage all created and saved schedules on the Action Orchestrator dashboard.

You can view the aggregated list of actions that are scheduled for one-time or recurring occurrences. To get a quick result on the list of actions, you can search for actions based on criteria such as action name.

You can edit the configuration details for the scheduled actions. Click More icon on the right side of the scheduled action configuration and then click View Details. On the device details page, click Edit.

You can delete the configuration when you don’t want to track the scheduled action to avoid triggering an action. For example, you scheduled a daily recurring and later decided to delete the action. The triggered action remains unchanged and is completed as planned. However, any future scheduled actions for the device are no longer executed. Follow the steps to delete an action.
  1. Click the More icon on the right side of the scheduled action configuration.
  2. Click Delete.

You can customize the columns to display the fields that provide detailed information on the scheduled list of actions. You can customize the columns by deselecting the columns to hide them, drag the rows to change the column orders, and click Save to save changes.

On the Action Orchestrator dashboard, you can also view the status of the actions that are performed on the target entities. The status is displayed differently for the recurring actions and one-time actions. For example,
  • When the action is set to run on a device as a recurring task such as for the Restart of iOS device and Android device actions, the following status is displayed.
    Status Description
Not Started The action is scheduled but not started.
Active The action is scheduled and started.
Completed All the scheduled occurrences are executed.
  • When the action is set to run on a device as a one-time task such as for the OS update actions, the status is displayed as completed on the dashboard. For more information on the statuses of the iOS device action and Android device action, see Tracking the OS Update status for a device and Deploying OS upgrades to corporate-owned devices.
