Extending an account

Use the Extend option to extend the trial period to evaluate the IBM® MaaS360® features for a Trial account.

About this task

The partner can extend the Trial and Customer accounts enabling them to continue their evaluation and make informed decisions.
Trial account
You can extend Trial accounts to help partners manage their trial periods effectively. By offering the flexibility to extend Trial accounts, IBM MaaS360 empowers partners to explore specific features, conduct additional testing, or gather feedback from stakeholders. You can extend a Trial account in the following scenarios:
Expired Trial accounts
When a trial period has ended and the account has expired, partners can extend the trial period to allow continued access for evaluation or testing.
Active Trial accounts
If a trial customer requires additional time to assess MaaS360 before making a licensing decision, partners can extend the current trial period. For example, if a customer has used the trial for 5 days and needs more time to complete their evaluation, the partner can extend the remaining trial duration.
Customer account
You can extend customer accounts that have expired, allowing customers to continue using IBM MaaS360 without interruption. For example, if a Customer account has expired and the customer needs additional time to evaluate MaaS360 features, you can extend the account. When you apply the extension, the expired Customer account is reclassified as a Trial account, and a new trial period is added.
Note: For expired Customer accounts, the account is reclassified as a Trial account with the specified trial period.
