If you do not specify the source path for the Office Customization Tool, the deployment tool looks for the installation files in the folder that the Office Customization Tool is located in. If the deployment tool cannot find the Office installation files, the tool uses the Office Content Delivery Network (CDN) to retrieve the installation files.

Choose one of the following deployment options:

      • Office content delivery network (CDN): Downloads and installs Office directly from the Office Content Delivery Network (CDN). This setting depends on your internet connection and available network bandwidth.
      • Local source: Deploys Office from a source path such as network, local, or an HTTP path. If needed, select the Office content delivery network (CDN) for missing languages.
Configuration manager Manages the following installation configuration settings:
      • Show installation to user: Enable this setting to show the Office configuration installation to the user or disable to install the Office configuration silently without notifying the user.
      • Pin icons to Taskbar: Pin or unpin icons to the taskbar.
      • Logging: Specify whether to show log files to the user.
