Identifiers for the PCI function
On IBM Z®, PCI functions are identified by general PCI identifiers, but also by identifiers that are specific to z/Architecture®.
Network interface names
As of Linux kernel 5.13 and with the udev rules of systemd 249, distributions can use predictable and persistent interface names for your network adapters PCI functions.
