Download and install the RPM or DEB file

RPM is the installation package format for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) distributions. DEB is the package format for the Ubuntu distribution. The CCA RPM or DEB packages contain files, samples, and groups.

About this task

To download the RPM or DEB package, complete these steps:

Procedure

  1. Point your Web browser at this location: 
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cryptocards/
  2. Click the appropriate link for your cryptographic coprocessor / HSM from the IBM HSM Products drop-down in the left side menu.
  3. Click CEX*S Linux on IBM Z from the selected CEX*S Overview page. Or in the left side drop down sub-menu under your IBM CEX*S product, click Linux on Z Software.
  4. On the appearing CEX*S Linux on IBM Z page, scroll down until you see the desired release type and level (that is, CCA x.x vs EP11 x.x).
  5. Navigate to the desired RPM or DEB package by clicking the hyperlink text This IBM download site under the appropriate CCA release. From here, you can access the following parts:
    • the RPM or DEB installation file that installs the host code
    • the README file for the RPM or DEB
    • the Release Notes
    • the license information.
