System setup for the WebSphere environment performance tests
To emulate a customer-like environment we set up and configured our z/VM LPARs and guests. We also created a WebSphere Application Server cluster, setup the caching proxy server, enabled quick dispatch, and setup the z/VM guest LAN type.
General information for single WebSphere® Application Server setup
Figure 1 shows the system topology that was used to gather the results for our single WebSphere Application Server tests.
The table below lists the specific configuration details for the z/VM® LPAR and the guests defined for the tests.
