Discovering and logging in to targets using YaST (SUSE-specific)

Complete the steps in the following procedure to connect to targets.

Procedure

  1. As a root user, launch YaST
  2. Select Network Services > iSCSI Initiator.
    1. Select Service as shown in Figure 1.
    2. In Service Start, select Manually.
    3. In Initiator Name, specify the iSCSI Qualified Name (IQN).
    4. Click OK.

  3. Select Discovered Targets > Add.
    1. In IP Address, specify the IP address of the iSCSI portal.
    2. In Port, specify the iSCSI port.
    3. Select No Authentication.

  4. Click Next to discover the target as show in Figure 3.

  5. Click Connect.
  6. Click No Authentication as shown in Figure 4.

  7. Click Next to confirm connected is true as shown in Figure 5.

  8. Click Connect. The window is displayed as shown in Figure 6.

Results

The iSCSI devices are discovered and available on the system:
