The purpose of these test runs was to compare the affects of DB2® v8 versus DB2 v9.

Observations

There are only slight differences in any parameter when upgrading from DB2 v8 on z/OS® to DB2 v9 on z/OS.

Conclusion

Upgrading the database from version 8 to version 9 has only a slight affect on performance.
