Setting up the network

The ECM software components communicate over a virtual guest-to-guest network provided by the z/VM® hypervisor (VSWITCH).

When querying the devices with the Linux® lsqeth command, the virtual network devices appear within Linux as type GuestLAN QDIO.

This is the command to list Linux qeth-based network devices:
