Setting up a line-mode terminal

The line-mode terminals are primarily intended for booting Linux®.
The preferred user access to a running instance of Linux on IBM® Z is through a user login that runs, for example, in an SSH session.
Tip: If the terminal does not provide the expected output,
ensure that
dumb is assigned to the TERM environment
variable. For example, enter the following command: # export TERM=dumb
