Setting up a line-mode terminal
The line-mode terminals are primarily intended for booting Linux®.
The preferred user access to a running instance of Red Hat® Enterprise Linux 9.2 is through a user login that runs, for example, in an SSH session.
Tip: If the terminal does not provide the expected output,
ensure that
dumb
is assigned to the TERM
environment
variable. For example, enter the following command on the bash shell: # export TERM=dumb
