Sending test alerts

When you complete configuration of your connectivity settings, test the connectivity to registered listeners.

Synopsis

./sendTestEvent

./sendTestEvent [h] [s|c]

Description

To test connectivity to registered listeners, follow these steps:

Log in to the IBM® PowerKVM system.
In command line, go to /opt/ibm/seprovider/bin.
Run this command - sendTestEvent h.

Options

h: - Specifies the hostname or IP address of the destination.
s: - Specifies the service action required alert.
c: - Specifies the service action and call home required alert.
