Objectives for the webApp.secure performance tests

The objective of this project was to determine the performance and CPU scaling measurements for the webApp.secure environment.

WebScurity, Inc,'s webApp.secure protects Web application servers from Internet attacks. Providing webApp.secure in the IBM® System z™ environment ensures that once the application stream is validated, all future communications are physically secure. This utility of the IBM System z Linux® Utility Services is a strategic direction, protecting Web applications from attack, in addition to traditional firewall and perimeter security. It is inserted before the Web server in the DMZ to protect end-to-end Web solutions from application attacks or vulnerabilities.

The information obtained in these tests is to be used for IBM internal sizing teams and should not be used to develop capacity sizing rules-of-thumb for customer environments.
