You can use the CP VINPUT command to simulate the Enter and Spacebar keys.

Simulate the Enter key by entering a blank followed by \n: 
#CP VINPUT VMSG \n
Simulate the Spacebar key by entering two blanks followed by \n: 
#CP VINPUT VMSG  \n
