Advanced File Storage Area on an XFS filesystem
During the first part of the single ECM node study, the high-performance filesystem XFS is used for the Advanced FileNet® File Storage Area. XFS is a good choice for large files or large file systems.
In addition, the Linux™ Logical Volume Manager (LLVM) is used to manage a Logical Volume (LV).
The XFS filesystem is created on a striped LV consisting of 6 x 100 GiB FCP/SCSI disks.
The following example shows how the XFS File Storage Area is populated with the data that is
shown in Table 1.
