Booting stops with disabled wait state
An automatic processor type check might stop the boot process with a disabled wait PSW.
On Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 8.6, a processor type check is automatically run at every kernel startup. If the check determines that Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.6 is not compatible with the hardware, it stops the boot process with a disabled wait PSW with an address of zero.
If
this problem occurs, ensure that you are running Red Hat Enterprise Linux
8.6 on supported hardware.
