This edition (SC33-8411-49) contains changes related to the 6.7, 6.8, 6.9, and 6.10 kernel releases.

New information

A new table lists functions by their support in a Linux distribution, see Distribution specific information.
With the new chpstat command, you can view channel-path statistics such as utilization and throughput, and query and control the status of the channel-path statistics function, see chpstat - Display channel-path statistics.
As of IBM z16™, KVM guests running in secure-execution mode can use Crypto Express adapters, see KVM host setup for Crypto Express support.

Changed Information

Customized cryptographic device nodes are now enabled in all Linux kernels, and the kernel configuration option is no longer needed.

Deleted Information

Crypto Express3 Accelerator (CEX3A), Crypto Express3 Coprocessor (CEX3C), Crypto Express2 Accelerator (CEX2A), and Crypto Express2 Coprocessor (CEX2C) are no longer supported and information about them was removed.
