Updates for kernel 6.7, 6.8, 6.9, and 6.10
This edition (SC33-8411-49) contains changes related to the 6.7, 6.8, 6.9, and 6.10 kernel releases.
New information
- A new table lists functions by their support in a Linux distribution, see Distribution specific information.
- With the new chpstat command, you can view channel-path statistics such as utilization and throughput, and query and control the status of the channel-path statistics function, see chpstat - Display channel-path statistics.
- As of IBM z16™, KVM guests running in secure-execution mode can use Crypto Express adapters, see KVM host setup for Crypto Express support.
Changed Information
- Customized cryptographic device nodes are now enabled in all Linux kernels, and the kernel configuration option is no longer needed.

Deleted Information
- Crypto Express3 Accelerator (CEX3A), Crypto Express3 Coprocessor (CEX3C), Crypto Express2 Accelerator (CEX2A), and Crypto Express2 Coprocessor (CEX2C) are no longer supported and information about them was removed.
