Reinstalling License Metric Tool with an existing database

You can reinstall the License Metric Tool server and connect it to an existing database. It allows you to preserve the collected data and avoid changing configuration settings.

1. Back up the following files from the License Metric Tool installation directory.
   • <install_dir>/wlp/usr/servers/server1/logs/imports/
   • <install_dir>/wlp/usr/servers/server1/data/sam/
   • <install_dir>/wlp/usr/servers/server1/apps/tema.war/WEB-INF/domains/sam/config/file_names*.txt
2. Uninstall the License Metric Tool server. For more information, see the following links:

   If uninstalling the server in interactive or silent mode does not work, remove the server manually. For more information, see: Removing the server manually.
3. Install the License Metric Tool server. For more information, see the following links:

4. Before you complete the initial configuration, copy the files that you backed up in 1 to the new installation directory.
