Statuses on the Deployment Health widget
The Deployment Health widget provides information about computers that do not meet some of the deployment health conditions. The BigFix® console provides fixlets that you can run to resolve some of the issues. If an issue cannot be fixed by running a fixlet, resolve it manually.
Delayed Data Upload
The computer has not uploaded data to the License Metric Tool server for the last 10 days (by default). Check whether the computer is up and running or why it is not connected to the network.Information about the percentage of computers with this status is included in the data_condition.txt file in the audit snapshot to show infrastructure health during the period for which the snapshot was generated.
- For computers with the BigFix client, change the computer_health_delayed_data_config parameter.
- For disconnected computers, change the computer_health_delayed_data_config_disconnected parameter.
Disconnected
Starting from application update 9.2.21, the status is substituted with a configurable status: Delayed Data Upload.
For earlier application updates, the status indicates that the computer has not connected to the License Metric Tool server for the last 72 hours.
Low disk space
- Computers with the BigFix client
- The drive on which the BigFix client is installed has less than 100 MB of free disk space. Free up some disk space.
- Computers with the disconnected scanner
- Not applicable.
Out of sync
- Computers with the BigFix client
- The time that is set on the computer differs by at least an hour from the time that is set on
the BigFix server. Update clocks on affected
computers.Important: Make sure you synchronize the clocks using correct time. In particular, in case the BigFix server time is set to incorrect value, all the computers except one are reported as out of sync.
- Computers with the disconnected scanner
- Not applicable.
Missing prerequisites
- Computers with the BigFix client
-
Scanner prerequisites are not installed on the computer. Linux® computers with missing prerequisites do not have the correct version of C++ runtime library installed. Install version 6 of the /usr/lib/libstdc++.* or /usr/lib64/libstdc++.* library.
If the problem persist, ensure that the correct version of the bzip2 archiver is installed on the endpoint.- Log in to the BigFix console.
- Click .
- In the upper right pane, select Software Scan Status, and open the Results tab. Check which computers have the Invalid archiver value displayed in any of the columns.
- Copy the correct version of the bzip2 archiver manually to each affected computer. Place the
archiver in the /LMT/CIT/custom folder. Name the file:
- bzip2
- bzip2.exe
- Computers with the disconnected scanner
- Not applicable.
Old scanner version
Starting from application update 9.2.30, the status is removed from the widget.
For earlier application updates, the status indicates that the scanner is at least 4 releases older than the License Metric Tool server. It might not be an issue but consider upgrading the scanner to get all the defect fixes and newest software discovery capabilities. Old scanners do not guarantee accuracy of software inventory and correctness of capacity scans.
- For computers with the BigFix client, change the computer_health_obsolete_scanner_config parameter.
- For disconnected computers, change the computer_health_obsolete_scanner_config_disconnected parameter.
