Editing a data source

If some of the data source parameters, such as the IP address of the BigFix® database or the location of scan results from the disconnected data source changed, edit the data source.

1. In the top navigation bar, click Management > Data Sources.
2. Click on the data source that you want to edit.
   • If you edit a BigFix data source, you can change the following values.
     Note: You can edit details of an existing BigFix data source. If you want to point to an entirely different BigFix, you need to create a new data source in License Metric Tool, not edit an existing one.
     • Name of the data source.
     • Host and name of the BigFix database.
     • User name and password of the user that connects to the BigFix database.
     • User name and password of the user that connects to the BigFix console.
   • If you edit a disconnected data source, you can change the following values.
     • Name of the data source.
     • Location of the disconnected scan results.
3. To save the changes, click Save.
