Changing database connection parameters

To update connection parameters of the License Metric Tool database, such as the database location, name, or password, run the SetupDatabase script.

About this task

The script allows for changing the following database connection parameters:
  • Database location
  • Database name
  • Database password
    Note: The password is encrypted by using the AES encryption algorithm.
  • Windows Authentication mode

Procedure

  1. Go to the installation directory of the License Metric Tool server, by default:
    • Linux /opt/ibm/LMT/wlp/usr/servers/server1/bin
    • Windows C:\Program Files\ibm\LMT\wlp\usr\servers\server1\bin\
  2. Run the following script.
    • Linux SetupDatabase.sh
    • Windows SetupDatabase.bat
  3. Follow instructions on the console to change database connection parameters.
