9.2.13 Available from 9.2.13.

The To Do list provides you with information about items that might require your action such as failed imports of data, availability of a new version of License Metric Tool and other.

To Do items

The number of To Do items is indicated by the number that is displayed on the To Do icon To Do list with one notification. It is shown until the appropriate action is undertaken, which can be done if you are an Administrator or have the required permissions. Otherwise, you are advised to contact the License Metric Tool Administrator to undertake the action for you. To update the To Do List, refresh the License Metric Tool user interface.

Failed import of data Provides the date and time of the import that failed as well as the date and time of the last successful import.
Availability of a new version of License Metric Tool Provides information about the new version of the License Metric Tool server that is available as well as the version that you are currently running.
The need to configure connections to virtualization hosts Provides information about the need of configuring connections to VM managers to avoid overcounting subcapacity licenses. For more information about the impact of not configuring connections to VM managers, see: Managing VM managers.
9.2.15 Outdated scanning actions Provides information about scanning actions that are running and which were started by using older versions of the Initiate Software Scan and Upload Software Scan Results fixlets. To address this issue, restart these actions in the IBM License Reporting (ILMT) v9 fixlet site.
Note: The To Do List always displays the names of outdated scanning actions in English.
9.2.20 Obsolete database version Provides information about the need of upgrading the database before the next upgrade of the License Metric Tool server because the current version of the database might stop being supported in the next application update of License Metric Tool.
9.2.22 The need to schedule disconnected scans Provides information about the need of collecting data from disconnected computers because only a disconnected data source is defined in License Metric Tool. For more information, see: Installing and configuring disconnected scanners for Lite.
9.2.34 Duplicate computers found in the environment Provides information that the computers with the same name and IP addresses list were found in the environment and you do not enabled the computer reconciliation mode. Usually this is an indication of a duplicated computers. You can click Enable Reconciliation Mode button to enable the computer reconciliation mode to avoid creating such duplicates in the future. You still need to manually remove the already existing duplicates. If you expect different computers (possibly from different subnets) to have the same name and IP addresses list, do not enable the computer reconciliation mode. Click on Dismiss button to prevent this To Do item from being displayed. For more information, see: Computer reconciliation mode.

Changing the scope of the To Do list

If you are an Administrator, you can change which information is shown on the To Do list. Currently, you can disable displaying information about the need of configuring connections to VM managers. To disable the information, go to Management > Advanced Server Settings, and change the value of the todo_display_vm_managers_need parameter to false.
