Decommissioning computers with disconnected scanners (disconnected scenario)

When you uninstall the disconnected scanner from a computer, you can mark this computer as decommissioned on the Computers report, so that it is not displayed in License Metric Tool.

Before you begin

An icon representing a user. For application updates from 9.2.5 to 9.2.23, you must have the Manage Computer Groups permission to perform this task. Starting from application update 9.2.24, you must have the Manage Endpoints permission.

Procedure

  1. In the top navigation bar, click Reports > Computers.
  2. Click the computer name.
  3. Click Decommission computer.
    The screen shows the computer properties with the decommission computer button.

Results

After you decommission the computer, it does not show up on the current reports. You can still manage the software on the Software Classification report, but it is marked as uninstalled. The software is still displayed on the All Metrics report.
