Each update of License Metric Tool provides new features and enhancements that facilitate your work with the application as well as fixes for APARs and defects. Each update is cumulative and contains changes from previous updates.

Bulk computer tagging for scalable management of computer groups
You can tag multiple computers at once by uploading a CSV file with a list of computers. This approach eliminates manual overhead, enables scalable management, and supports automation. For more information, see: Adding and removing computer tags.
Grouping computers based on custom tags
You can create computer groups based on custom tags. After you create a group based on a specific tag and then add the tag to a new computer, the computer joins the corresponding computer group after the next import of data. This feature enables flexible grouping of computers for various operational purposes, such as organizing systems by department, location, or function. Enhanced troubleshooting of connections to VM managers
The following enhancements are introduced to improve troubleshooting problems with connections to VM managers.- The Unsupported Virtualization status is added to the VM Managers panel to inform when an unsupported virtualiztion scenario is used. For example, a nested virtualization in which the hypervisor runs inside a virtual machine.
- The possibility to download debug data directly from the VM Managers panel is added. The feature works for the local VM Manager Tool. For more information, see: VM Manager Tool log files.
Enhanced troubleshooting of duplicated computers
The Duplicated Computers status is added on the Deployment Health widget to indicate that computer duplciates exist in your infrastructure. For more information, see: Statuses on the Deployment Health widget.
Support for MS SQL Server 2025 and 2025 Express as a database for License Metric Tool on Windows
Support is added for MS SQL Server 2025 and 2025 Express as a database for License Metric Tool on Windows. If you share the database between License Metric Tool and BigFix®, verify that your version of BigFix supports MS SQL Server 2025.
Support for new platforms and systems
Support is introduced for the following systems and platforms:- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 on x86 can be used as an operating system for the License Metric Tool server.
- VMware vSphere 9
Fixes for Known Issues and defects

Security enhancements
- Scans Relay and disconnected scanners can be configured to use the token of a user with only the Manage Scan Uploads permission.
- Improved security of credentials stored in WebSphere Liberty configuration files. Encryption now uses an installation-specific key instead of the default WebSphere Liberty encryption key.
