Integrating with IBM Software Central

9.2.23 Available from 9.2.23. You can integrate License Metric Tool with IBM® Software Central to view consolidated license information and thus make well-informed purchases, renewals and trade-ups in the future.

You can integrate License Metric Tool with IBM Software Central to view the following data:
  • Usage of contractual metrics that you can consolidate with information from the containerized environment.
  • 9.2.43 Usage of adoption metrics that helps you better understand how the product is used.

Connectivity requirements

In case of the contractual data, the integration requires that the License Metric Tool server has a direct Internet connectivity to IBM Software Central or can connect to the portal through a proxy server. For more information, see: Configuring the connection to IBM Software Central.

9.2.43 In case of adoption metrics, you can upload data in the offline mode by using dedicated scripts if there is no connectivity between the License Metric Tool server and IBM Software Central. For more information, see: Uploading adoption data to IBM Software Central in the offline mode.

Sending the data

After you configure the integration, the data is sent according to the following rules.
