Installing and configuring Ansible (Ansible scenario)

Available from 9.2.22. After you install and configure the License Metric Tool server, install the Ansible platform and create and inventory of computers from which you want to collect software and capacity data by using Ansible.

Procedure

1. Install Ansible. For detailed instructions, see the Ansible documentation.
2. Create an inventory of computers on which you want to manage software and hardware discovery with Ansible. For detailed instructions, see the Ansible documentation.

What to do next

Run playbooks that install and configure the disconnected scanner, and upload disconnected scan results to the License Metric Tool server.
