Creating a Load Request

Use the Load Request Editor to create a Load Request. A Load Request provides parameters used to prepare data for a DBMS loader and the instructions required to process the load.

To create a Load Request:

  1. In the main window, click File > New > Load from the main menu.
    The Load Request Editor Options window opens.
  2. Enter Source and Control File names, complete the Table Map information, and click OK.
    The Load Request Editor opens.
  3. On the tab with the associated DB alias name, enter load processing options for the DBMS.
  4. Click File > Save to open the Save the Load Request dialog.
  5. In the Pattern box, type a unique name for the new Load Request and click Save.
