Validating distributed flow in Instana UI

Before you set up Instana on z/OS, it is important to validate whether your distributed application(s) is being monitored by Instana.

To validate distributed flow(s) in the Instana UI, follow these steps:

1. Access the Instana UI and navigate to the Applications view.
2. In the Applications view, select All Services.
3. Click on the Dependencies tab.
4. Look for a node that represents your application server or the starting point of your distributed application(s).
   Tip: If you cannot find your distributed application(s) displayed in the Instana UI, you need to verify that an Instana agent is running on each machine where your distributed application(s) is deployed. Additionally, ensure that each agent is configured to send trace data to your Instana backend.
