Z Common Data Provider for tracking flows into Db2 for z/OS via JDBC

Use the Z Common Data Provider component of Z APM Connect to enable support for tracking flows into Db2 for z/OS via JDBC. The Z Common Data Provider provides the infrastructure for accessing IT operational data from z/OS® systems and streaming it to the analytics platform in a consumable format.

As a component of Z APM Connect, Z Common Data Provider allows you to collect and filter transaction data coming from JDBC requests to Db2 for z/OS and send the filtered System Management Facilities (SMF) data to the Instana backend via Z APM Connect Distributed Gateway. The following transaction data will be reported to the Instana backend:

• Performance metrics for SQL calls made by the application
• Db2 timeouts and Db2 deadlocks including blocker and waiter data
